J & A Growers Ltd was formed in 2002 by Jamie & Alison Dewhurst in response to the increasing demand for, not only UK provenance stock, but also UK grown plant material.

Due to the growth of the business we are now the UK’s largest hardwood seedling producer with an own production in excess of 8 million hedging and forestry plants.

Production is based on 90 acres of alluvial sandy silt loam over gravel in Warwickshire.

We are at the forefront of technological innovation, the company was the first business in the UK to invest in optical steering systems on a tractor, this alone increased efficiency in certain operations by 75%. They also work in partnership with some of the leading research bodies in the UK looking at various technical developments.
